ご依頼いただいておりました、クリスタルのボウルお直し。
厚みがあり、パーツひとつひとつの重さもあるため、
暑い季節に時間をかけて接着しました。
まずは、断面に金箔を施します。
漆で接着した際に、
クリアなガラスは断面の漆の色が透けて見えてしまうから。
あえて透けた漆を見せる時もありますが、
今回は箔を挟みました。
他のグラスもまとめて金箔を押しています。
断面に接着のための麦漆を縫って接着します。
接着が完了したのち、
欠損部や隙間を感じられる箇所は錆漆で充填し、
さらに細かい凹凸は漆を重ねることによって、
表面を整えていきました。
展示は、

井上文太氏の個展にてお披露目となりました。

展示においては、水を張った状態で展示されていましたが、
漏れることなく漆の力強さをあらためて感じました。
The crystal restoration I was entrusted with—
each piece had substantial thickness and weight,
so the bonding process was carried out slowly and carefully during the hot season.
The restored work was unveiled at
GINZA SIX | Tsutaya Books GINZA ATRIUM,
as part of @buntainoue’s solo exhibition.
I’m truly grateful for the opportunity.
During the exhibition, the piece was displayed filled with water,
and not a single drop leaked—
a moment that reminded me once again of the remarkable strength of lacquer.
